Sister Wives?

Of course there has been a media blitz about the polgamist family on the reality show Sister Wives. There is all this legal action that's being taken against them because they are living the lifestyle they are. Currently the husband is adding yet a fourth wife to the mix. This man is the epitome of selfish. With 16 people in the house he can't possibly be tending to everyones needs the way they should be. He can't possibly be an effective father to so many children. WHEN DOES HE HAVE TIME TO GO OUT AND FALL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER WOMAN? The current wives are acting like spurned girlfriends being forced to eat shit. The new girlfriend / wife has three out of control kids of her own she's raising by herself and seems just exausted. She just is tired of being mom and wants someone else to take over so enter polyamory! THE SOLUTION TO EVERYTHING! HA HA HA HA You are in for a rude awakening honey. Lots of passive agressive bullshit comin your way. Yeah the current wives will smile in your face and welcome you but be sure there WILL be a knife in your back soon after.

When does this man WORK? I guess he no longer has to since he's on a reality show. You don't want to judge, because someone 'believes' something other than what you do. But Im just refering back to the whole pentacle of selfishness. These women are getting dribbles and drabbles of this man's attention and love and they are clearly suffering because of it. Why they agree to have just a kernel of someone I do not know. Being a hardcore feminist it pisses me off and makes me crave balls in a jar on the mantle. You selfish self centered fucker. So full of bullshit it's unbelieveable.

Weed Night

Lock Up, 101 Ways to Die, Guinette County Jail, Nancy Grace

People kill me when they insist weed is harmless and shouldn't be criminalized. I watched tv today and saw some pretty mind boggling examples of the devil weed. When people are young and trying to fit in they may try weed. I mean even President Clinton tried it. But there comes a time when experiment is over and lifestyle sets in.

On Guinette county a girl shoplifts a keychain from a store and has a weed pipe in her purse. So not only does she get charged with the shoplifting, but then has an extra charge of possession. When asked why she stole the keychain, 'she had no idea'. Hmmmm high maybe? See that weed wants to distroy your life peeps, so not only is she out there stealing but then she's getting high too. Now she has to call her parents and tell them. Nice.

At the same jail there is a new female officer that has been on duty for three weeks. She is a mother of three and has a supportive husband. Her kids think it's cool that mommy is a police officer. They don't really understand she works in a prison. She's giving her interview on how much she likes her new job and how she's looking forward to the new shifts. Suddenly her supervisor gets a tip that she has smoked pot while on duty. She hands in her resignation saying she will not pass the next drug test, and leaves. What is she going to tell her kids about being a police officer? What is she going to say as her reason for leaving her last job? What about all that training to get the job, now that's all down the tubes. How is her husband going to react to all this? Her kids are eventually going to be old enough to understand whats going on and see the show. Im 100% sure she'll lie about it. Then her children will know their mother is a liar too. But weed is harmless.
.
The second example was on 101 ways to die. Two stoner dudes run out of pot. They are such stoners that they have to get high somehow. Oh but pot isn't addictive. These dumb mofos are out in the desert pulling up all sorts of weeds and flowers and rolling them up and smoking them hoping to get high. Of course they pickup one of them deadliest plants in the us and smoke it and it floods their lungs with fluid killing them both. But, weed is harmless.

A woman is pulled over by police and caught with weed. She has a young son that she loves to peices. It's not until she is locked in jail for a year that she realizes how her pot use is going to affect her son. He writes her a letter on mother's day and sends a picture with his letter. He drew an outline of his hand on the bottom of the letter. She breaks down into tears because she isn't going to see him till she gets out. Her mother refuses to bring him to the prison to see her. She says that her son thinks that she's in jail for smoking cigarettes. The best she can do to explain where she is is 'mommy is in time out.' Weed took you from your son. You're going to miss a year of his life because you wanted to get high. The devil wants to tear families apart. But weed is harmless.

On Nancy Grace the same night they were discussing the case of the woman who was giving her two year old daughter weed and then filmed it on her camera phone and sent it to her friend. Why did she do it? Cause weed told her it was a good idea! The enemy is sent to kill and destroy people. Weed is the tool of the enemy. She was accused of being a horrible mother anyway, with neighbors saying her child was always wandering the street alone. No doubt moms is getting high someplace and has no idea where her precious 2 year old is and doesn't care because weed is more important. But weed is harmless. Now she's in jail with so many charges she may never get out. Weed is destroying our minds and spirits people!

Lock Up

I have been watching this series lately mostly out of boredom. The more I watch it the more it scares me. Not in the literal sense, more on a philosophical level. There is a whole segment of the population who has this messed up way of seeing things therefore they are in prison. Now, some of those people get parole and get to come out and live amongst us, with their fucked up reasoning.

Case in point Johnny. He is a 46 year old latin man who has been in and out of jail since the 80's. He went to jail the first time when he was 17. This last stint was 20 years. He was waiting to be paroled. He thought he would be out for Cinco de Mayo so he was excited. But there were charges pending so they had to tell him he wasnt getting out the 5th of May. He walks in and knows immediately he isn't getting out. So he proceedes to throw a fit and start whining and complaining. He's walking back out of the room and doesn't want to talk to the warden. Im thinking that attitude isn't going to get much on the outside. If you tell me Im not getting out, then the next thing I need to know is when and how. Im not going to start throwing fits, I want answers. The warden tells him he's getting out July 1. He sighs and grumbles and goes back to his cell.

Later another charge comes up, he tells the secretary that those charges were dropped. The charges of course threaten his release date. She gets on the phone to find out what gives. She finds out that in fact the charges had been dropped. Good. Next thing is that he doesn't have any place to go to when he gets out, so he needs to fill out an application for a halfway house. The secretary helps him do all that and he gets accepted. Before he goes to the halfway house he has to have a phyche evaluation. He finds out the doctor can't see him for two weeks, which will push his release back. He loses it. He's in his cell cursing talking about beating the doctor up and slapping him. He goes on and on like this. There is no doubt if he wasn't locked in a cell he would have beaten someone up in that moment. I'm thinking, this dude aint gonna make it on the outside. He's talking to the camera crew and interviewer and says 'this is all he's ever known' meaning being locked up. Yeah, he's definately not going to make it. He gets the evalutation and how he passes I have no idea. But he gets out on time. He goes to the half way house. Next thing we know he walks away from the half way house, and is caught at a gas station a couple of miles away. In less than 24 hours he's back on parole violation. I don't get it, you wanted to be out so bad, raising all this hell; but then you come right back?

This mentality exists in our society. There's nothing you can do about it.

The Lisa Turtle effect

In the mornings before school I watch reruns of Saved by the Bell. I was too old for it when it was actually on TV as I was already in my 20's. So I have only seen it in reruns. A curious element of the show is the shows only black girl Lisa Turtle. She is drop dead gorgeous, her parents are still married and very rich. However she almost never has a boyfriend, and if she does, you don't get to know anything about him and he doesn't ever hang with her and her friends. Only once do you see her in a relationship, and she had to pretend not to be the vapid California brat that she was in order to get the guys interest.

She is constantly stalked by the shows head nerd Skreech. She always says insulting things to him and has even resorted to physical violence toward him in the act of htting him over the head unneccesairily like the period at the end of a sentence. Her character is always very verbally insulting and aggressive toward him, and dismissve of his feelings.

Other than that, she's always the 5th wheel with Kelly, Zach, Jessie and Slater. Screech is part of the group but Lisa and Screech aren't a couple.

On one episode that took place on Valentines day she wore a custom suit. Now you would think that since it's Valentines day and all there would be a nice red heart on the lapel or shoulder, right? Nope, there was a big black SPADE on the white suit. As if the suit was part of a collection of suits and she got the spade by coincindence. Um, she's the BLACK character, why must she wear a SPADE? Why didn't the actress object to that? Maybe it went right over her head. I'd love to talk to her about it someday.

The love relationships between the main characters were always ongoing. Lisa shares a passionate kiss with Zach at her house one night, and starts having feelings for him. But there is no follow up, and it's never ever mentioned again. It made me wonder if there was hate mail.

Anyhoo, the only real revenge for being the odd girl out the whole time the show was on was really when the gang got summer jobs working at a beach club. Lisa's parents belonged to said club, so they had to wait on her all summer. She had her own cabana, that she let the girls crash in with her. But Lisa never had to work. Unlike the black character on the new 90210, the only one who has a job when all the other kids come to the Peach Pit for him to wait on them.

When the kids go off to college, Lisa is accepted to fashion school and is written out of the show never to be called, written or visited or heard from in person ever again. They mention her in passing but she is never physically seen. When I saw her on a reunion special she seemed sort of absent from the whole experience. As if she really wasn't happy to see the cast again, or even be included. It seemed like there could have been bad feelings there. Going forward, I really hope people do a better job of writing in black characters into white shows. I have yet to be impressed but who knows. Maybe I'l have to write the script my damn self.

Jersey Shore

I admit I don't watch every episode of this show. I watched season one like everyone else, but I have gotten oversaturated with these kids so I can only take so much. However I have to say it's a great thing there were no reality shows like this when I was 21 thank the lord. The thing when I do stop and watch, or rest on the channel while Im doing something else that comes up is Sammy's obsession with Ron. It's so painful to watch. I can't understand the reluctance of Jwow and Snookie to tell the girl the truth about her so called 'boyfriend' Ron. I mean what is the hold up? I could see if they didn't like Sammy, but they claim to be the girls friend, and they don't tell her? I don't understand their concept of friendship. They continue to hang out with her, and talk to her and be in her face knowing that Ron doesn't love her.

The bottom line is Ron is an alcoholic bastard. Sammy is a victim, and that's why they are together. He drinks and calls her bitches and cunts and she STILL wants to be with him? I'm sorry, but the first time a man calls me a cunt is the LAST time he ever speaks to me. But she still lets him in her bed, still thinks of this fuckface as her boyfriend. He opts to go to the club till 4am than be with her and she's still not getting it. Whenever he drinks he lays into her, calls her names and once almost physically attacked her at a club, but the fellas stopped him. The fellas aren't to excuse either. I understand that they aren't going to go to Sammy and tell her the truth, but they don't tell Ron to stop playing games with the girl. They just laugh that he's cheating on her constantly. Ron is drinking out of contol and passing out, falling on the floor and Sammy still doesn't understand that someone who drinks like that isn't going to be the healthiest choice to give her love to. Alkies are self absorbed assholes who care only for themselves. It will be a revelation when Sammy wakes the fuck up and realizes that.
